For our 2017 exhibitions at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Campus Nord Branch Library housed our 2D Annex Gallery. We noticed that students often brought desks into the exhibition to find a quiet place to study among the artwork. In this way, student scientists sparked the idea for greater interaction.
The spring-summer library exhibits were the first stage for building student connections for our 2018 Eco-connectity exhibition series. Some of our artists began working with professors, doctoral students, and other scientists through virtual and one on one communications. These partnerships were curated by us. The results and process works from these interactions are showcased in exhibits and lectures at the next series, which opened November 1st, 2018.
To launch our Spring/Summer exhibits, we organized an ArtSci Soirée at our new partner arts organization, GlogauAIR.
